Merida’s new Global Expedition Collection area rugs have recently been selected for some of the country’s most high-profile designer show houses. Prominent interior designers such as Phoebe Howard and Robert Brown chose Merida custom sisal rugs for their high quality, beautiful colors and classic style.
The Global Expedition Collection features five distinctive natural fiber rugs that were developed by Merida’s skilled design team and woven by our Belgian production partner. Kyoto, a heavy herringbone; Alhambra, a large-scale honeycomb; and Turkana, a rippling surface pattern, are all woven of 100% sisal. Serengeti is a simple yet visually stimulating design woven with both sisal and linen yarns, and Cortina features both soft wool and lustrous sisal for an elegant look. Each of these designs has been featured in the following recent projects and showhouses:
