What sets Merida’s wool rugs apart from other manufacturers starts with the fiber itself. The wool fibers are harvested from New Zealand sheep farms devoid of any internationally banned chemicals or pesticides. We use a state-of-the-art scouring process to ensure that the fibers for our designer wool rugs are clean and unsoiled before they are even considered for the products. Once the fibers reach our mills in Boston and Fall River, we take special care to blend the textures and colors to create the custom wool rug that meets our quality and ethical standards.
